Dune Dog Cafe, Jupiter (561) 622-8770

Review: Worth Your Money and Time

I think my son has eaten every type of hot dog on the menu and loved each and everyone! I have eaten everything from the Dune Dog which is topped with relish and onions to the Leroy Brown's Junkyard Dog which is my favorite that is topped with a special sauce. The grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich is fresh as was the Caesar Salad with a grilled and lightly seasoned skewer of shrimp. This is a Keys restaurant that got lost and landed on Alt A1A in Jupiter just north of Indiantown. If you are looking for a casual "joint" after a day at the beach or for a quick stop into a vacation during your lunch break than this is the place for you. The food is fresh, the sweet tea is delicious and perfectly sweetened (which is very important if you come from the South) and the Coronas and Jimmy Buffett music aren't bad either. They have fried fish and even a Lobster night. The restaurant needs a little bit of a paint job and the bathrooms could be cleaner. Parking seems to be a problem as well at peak times. Service is very good. See you in the Keys err Jupiter!
There is also a new Dune Dog Express in Palm Beach Gardens. http://dunedogcafe.net

RA Sushi Bar Restaurant, Palm Beach Gardens (561) 340-2112

Review: Defintely Worth Time and Money
What can I say, the BEST Sushi restaurant this side of the Mississippi ...or south of the county line at least. The first thing that hits you is the sleek Asian design, youthful energy and mood-enhancing lighting. Everything looks fresh, clean and updated. There are many options on where to sit either at the sushi bar, booth, or table. And if you feel like a warm South Florida breeze right in the middle of the action of Downtown there are warm and inviting tables outside. Now for the food and prices. First, I chose the Miso Hot! Soup today although I have had other wonderful appetizers. This hot "pot" was easily for 2 or 3 at a reasonable price and filled with mushrooms, tofu and even shrimp. Then, I ate my all time favorite signature sushi roll the Viva Las Vegas Roll - Unbelievable! It was lightly battered and loaded, and I mean loaded with Spicy Tuna and Crab mixture on top. Underneath was a sweet and tasty soy-like sauce. I have had several other items and each were equally as impressive. Choose anything on the menu and I am sure it will be superb and worth the cost which is reasonable especially for the quality. Service was smiling, attentive and informative. You feel like you are in a hip environment with those who appreciate fine sushi and dining just the same. Good Eating!
Ra Sushi is located in other areas in South Florida including Pembroke Pines and Miami.
